A SPOTLIGHT-loving parrotfish from the Great Barrier Reef is creating a name for himself all over the world, shamelessly hijacking tourists' happy snaps with his impressive pearly whites.

Gavin the blue-barred parrotfish has been flashing his toothy grin for the cameras at Green Island off Cairns for years and images of his photobombs have now gone viral online.

Karl Kuhle, general manager of Seawalker Green Island, said Gavin was not at all camera shy as long as there was plenty of food and female divers around. read more...

2012 Chinese New Year

Seawalker Green Island, Cairns & Great Barrier Reef has reached a new record for happy customers per day in the Chinese New Year, the year of the Dragon 2012.The highest number recorded in one day was 217 pax.

Grease Walkers 2010

The dance competition organised as a part of Tourism Tropical North Queensland Tourism Awards 2010 night was themed "So You Think You Can GREASE It! Seawalker@Green Island participated with a grotesque movie filmed at location on Green Island. All the crew had great fun whilst making the movie. Greasewalkers' outstanding underwater moves, together with Ranger Roy's chasing off The Litter Bugs and a group choreography on the top of the Sea Spy, are the contributing factors to the Seawalker's efforts being awarded the great second place in this year's competition. 100 000 Customers and going stronger

100,000th Customer

In September 2010 - SEAWALKER@Green Island reached 100 000 customers.
The one to be commemorated as the 100,000th customer was the lucky Japanese Mr. Okamura Hiroshi (bottom left), photographed here with some of the Seawalker crew. Congratulations.

Miss China Cosmos Pageant 2010

2010 Finalist Adventure Tourism Award for SEAWALKER

In October 2010 Seawalker@Green Island received the 2010 Finalist Adventure Tourism Award by Tropical Tourism North Queensland. This category was open to operators providing adventure tourism experiences that involve active customer participation, e.g. rafting, ballooning, bushwalking, scuba diving, rock climbing, four-wheel driving, fishing, horse riding and abseiling.

Adam Rykes and Hamish Cross are the lead cows in a promotion put together by World Nomads and Backpacking Queensland. They hope to replicate the hype generated by Queensland Tourism’s highly successful Best Job in the World Campaign. The guys are traveling from Cairns to Brisbane checking out the sites and adventures.
